A Divine-Occasion wedding has been featured on the California Wedding Day blog! The wedding is being published at an interesting time, as Eric Shanteau, (the groom) a 2008 Olympic swimmer, is swimming this weekend to qualify for the Olympics in London! The Swim For Your Life event was started based on the idea that no matter what obstacle a person faces, they can still live the life they have dreamed about. Over the past two years hundreds of people have shown up to join Eric and many of his fellow Olympians to show their support in the fight against cancer. Participants are able to race alongside some of the best swimmers in the world in either a 1K or 5K open water swim around Sunset Cove. Awards are presented by the Olympians at the conclusion of the race. Afterwards, the national team members share their secrets to fast swimming in clinic held on the beach. All proceeds from Swim For Your Life go to benefitting the programs and services of the Lance Armstrong Foundation.
