When Cean was just four years old, his parents gave him a camera. It changed the way he looked at the world. From that childhood gift, Cean grew to love photography, beauty and the way cameras can capture the special moments that make our lives meaningful.
After high school, he attended the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. As an apprentice photographer, Cean spent the next decade developing his craft and working with several photography companies. As Cean’s personal style developed, he knew the time was coming to follow his unique vision and open his own studio.
In 1996, Cean One Photography was launched, serving Southern California from his studio in Riverside. Since then Cean One LA has opened successfully, with plans for an additional studio to open later this year in San Diego.
Cean’s talent has landed him photo shoots in Europe, Korea, Australia, and the Mexican Rivera. He has photographed celebrities, including the Jackson family, Lacey Schwimmer, and Neicy Nash as well as some sports celebs like Ryan Villopoto, Ivan Tedesco & Jeff Emig.
In 2011, the Cean One team appeared on the Style Network’s ‘Momster of the Bride’ series. A production company recently produced a sizzle reel on Cean’s team for a new reality show pilot.

Chris has been around cameras his entire life. He grew up with an amazing role model and mentor in the photography industry whose creativity and passion has been a strong part of Chris’s inspiration. For as long as he can remember, being a cinematographer has been his dream. Even as a child, he has never simplywatched films; he become immersed in the story and dissected how they used light to create a certain mood or shoot from a specific angle to affect the audience. Out of his love for film grew his passion for creating his own films – for showing the emotion and connection that his clients share with each other.
